Dive Into TerrorDive Into Terror

"Dive into Terror"
"Nick Cutter, the Terrorist's Terrorist"

Novel
by
Randy Cruts
LCDR, USNR (ret)

This prophetic story outlined events that have unfolded and are still unfolding in today's news concerning the war on global terrorism. Cruts was writing and predicting events dealing with the international players of terrorism long before the news media had decided whether to spell Osama bin Laden's name with an "O" or a "U." His second novel, "Controlled Insanity," warned about the magnitude of attacks America can expect in its future, years before the tragic day of 9-11.

Quotes from Newspaper Reviews:

"A neatly tied-together little thriller ... a nicely woven novel that pounds along like a locomotive."

-Harry Crumpacker, The Tampa Tribune

"Nick Cutter is a macho Navy SEAL with the power to kill like a Rambo with gills ... an old-fashioned action yarn straight out of the Mickey Spillane school of tough-guy fiction."

-Mark Hinson, The Tallahassee Democrat

"Cruts shows the kind of promise of the early Clancy. This is an author, and a continuing saga, worth following."

-Scott Ceier, The Key West Citizen

"Those who like non-stop action will love this book ... frothing, roiling ocean of feints and parries -with knives, guns, and wits."

-Peggy May, Northwest Florida Daily News

"There's a new hero on the American literary scene, and his name is Cutter, Nick Cutter ... one part Lloyd Bridges in 'Sea Hunt,' one part Harrison Ford in 'Clear and Present Danger,' a pinch of James Garner in 'The Rockford Files,' and a dash of author Randy Cruts."

-Mark Bradley, Pensacola News Journal

Synopsis

THE THREAT: The Islamic ibn Allah (ISA), a newly formed terrorist organization is in the process of uniting all terrorist factions worldwide. Global by nature, the ISA's area of operation is currently limited to Europe but plans are in the works to wreak terror internationally. Yasser Arafat's Palestine Liberation Organization, Black September, The Islamic-jihad, Abu Nidal's Black June are just some of the more radical groups but the ISA is the most hideous of them all. This new threat has split from Nidal's Black June and other heretic terrorist groups. What makes it scary? They are organized and grow by the hour.

THE ANSWER: Nick Cutter, a lieutenant in the United States Navy with the warfare specialty of SEAL, is recruited by an elite counter-terrorist team, the Terrorist Neutralization/Hostage Extraction Squad (TNHES or Tennis Team). His new mission, eliminate the most important cell of the ISA. This squad is more covert than SEAL Team Six or Delta force; no records of their being exist. No paper or financial trails can lead anyone to the Tennis Team keeping their stealth capabilities intact. Lieutenant Cutter signs on under the conditions that the US Government will maintain complete deniability.

REASON: The Tennis Team abandons all civilized rules of engagement. Cutter and his men MEET TERRORISTS ON THEIR OWN TERMS, NEUTRALIZE ALL ISA MEMBERS ON THE SCENE, AND TAKE NO PRISONERS UNLESS OTHERWISE DIRECTED.

Diving into Darkness: A True Story of Death and SurvivalDiving into Darkness: A True Story of Death and Survival

On New Year's Day, 2005, David Shaw traveled halfway around the world on a journey that took him to a steep crater in the Kalahari Desert of South Africa, a site known as Bushman's Hole. His destination was nearly 900 feet below the surface.
On January 8th he descended into the water. About fifteen feet below the surface was a fissure in the bottom of the basin, barely wide enough to admit him. He slipped through the opening and disappeared from sight, leaving behind the world of light and life.
Then, a second diver descended through the same crack in the stone. This was Don Shirley, Shaw's friend, and one of the few people in the world qualified to follow where Shaw was about to go. In the community of extreme diving, Don Shirley was a master among masters.
Twenty-five minutes later, one of the men was dead. The other was in mortal peril, and would spend the next 10 hours struggling to survive, existing literally from breath to breath.
What happened that day is the stuff of nightmarish drama, but it’s also a compelling human story of friendship, heroism, ambition, and of coming to terms with loss and tragedy.

Controlled InsanityControlled Insanity

"Controlled Insanity"
"Nick Cutter, the Terrorist's Terrorist"

Novel by Randy Cruts LCDR, USNR (ret)

Along with Cruts' first novel, "Dive into Terror," this prophetic story outlined events that have unfolded and are still unfolding in today's news concerning the war on global terrorism. Cruts was writing and predicting events dealing with the international players of terrorism long before the news media had decided whether to spell Osama bin Laden's name with an "O" or a "U." "Controlled Insanity," warned about the magnitude of attacks America can expect in its future, years before the tragic day of 9-11.

Newspaper Quote:"...fast-paced joy ride into the world of international terrorism and drug-dealing ... a fight of good vs. evil as the action mounts."--Bobbie Hess, San Francisco Examiner.

Inspired by true events, Controlled Insanity exposes the darker side of national defense. Lieutenant Nick Cutter and his U.S. Navy SEAL covert counter-terrorist team not only have to contend with global terrorists and international drug cartels but they must also deal with America's dirty politicians. Not ever knowing from what periphery the next enemy will emerge, the Terrorist Neutralization/Hostage Extraction Squad hammers its way through terrorists' attacks, drug running, assassinations, highjackings, kidnapings, military downsizing, and political corruption. In this thought provoking piece of contemporary literature, America's most hideous threat to its national security is revealed...her own elected leaders.

Randy Cruts, author of "Dive Into Terror," continues the Nick Cutter saga in this new action-packed thriller. This international award winning writer retired from the naval reserve as a lieutenant commander and spent most of his career operating in the surface warfare community. Before settling back in his home state, he worked as a diver for a Louisiana commercial diving company. He now lives on the Emerald Coast of Northwest Florida. Cruts' current diversion from his many literary projects is the sport of skydiving. He holds a D-license with more than 360 jumps to his credit. Cruts' obsession with his stories and characters will forever sculpt his future endeavors.
